Girl and the Deep Blue Sea is the creation of Australian artist Anna Markula. Anna lives in beautiful Brisbane and is inspired by vibrant nature and tropical vibes.
Anna worked for many years as an ecologist and decided to pursue a more creative career after having her daughter in 2017. Anna now creates unique surface pattern designs and illustrations. She is influenced by abstract details in nature, amazing wildlife, bold bright colours, fun dance music, and the magical interaction between salt water and light.
